Introduction to Health Economics Evaluation

This online course is delivered by Southampton Health Technology Assessments Centre (SHTAC).

It provides an introduction to the basic concepts of health economics evaluation.

It is for anyone who needs to understand the principles of health economics and how or when they are used in evaluating the costs and benefits of healthcare interventions and particularly for those used in the UK health service.  

The course is interactive and includes practical exercises. On completion of the course participants will be able to understand health economic evaluation terminology,  basic concepts and interpret aspects of a health economic evaluation.  

All participants receive a PDF course pack including useful tools and resources to use in health economic evaluations.
