Explore the science of microbiology, biofilms and antimicrobial resistance in this four-day technical training course from the National Biofilms Innovation Centre (NBIC), held at the University of Nottingham.

Taking place from 18–21 January 2027, our Microbiology, Biofilms and Antimicrobial Resistance training course brings together expert-led teaching, interactive case-based learning, practical demonstrations and access to state-of-the-art imaging facilities at the Biodiscovery Institute. 

The course is also being delivered as part of the Doctoral Training Centre in Biofilms Innovation, Technology, and Engineering (BITE), where it forms part of the technical training for BITE PhD students.

 We are pleased to open places to a wider audience, including academic researchers, industry professionals, clinicians, charity and public-sector organisations, and other professionals working in microbiology, infection and related fields.
