School Of Health Sciences
Health Sciences has an established reputation for developing a world-class environment which focuses on the improvement of health outcomes and the transformation of healthcare delivery. For example, our new BN nursing degree courses were the first in the country to be accredited by the Nursing and Midwifery Council.

Our international outlook on global issues of health and healthcare make this an exciting environment in which to study.

Our education benefits from close partnership with practice settings and clinical leaders. Our aim is to develop future healthcare professionals able to make discoveries to challenge practice and create change through innovation. In order to improve health outcomes, the workforce of the future needs distinctive forward-thinking leaders and practitioners. Our undergraduate and postgraduate programmes provide a firm foundation on which to build.

We are committed to ensuring that our education programmes are linked closely to our research activity. We have three key research groups with interests in cancer, palliative and end-of-life care, chronic health needs, such as asthma, diabetes and skin problems, and evaluation of new ways of service and education delivery in healthcare.
