This one-week intensive course explores how artificial intelligence (AI) and deep learning methods can be applied to real-world geospatial data challenges. It combines expert-led instruction with hands-on training to equip participants with the skills to harness cutting-edge tools in spatial analysis, environmental monitoring, and urban data science.
Delivered by experienced academics and practitioners from the University of Southampton, its GeoData Institute and the WorldPop research group, this course focuses on open-source tools, cloud-based modelling and drone-derived datasets, with strong emphasis on practical application and reproducible workflows.
