Language Opportunity Southampton Language Opportunity (SLO) offers students the chance to learn a new language, alongside their degree. All classes are free of charge to students registered at the University of Southampton. The classes offer no formal qualification or provide any credit, but are perfect for those wanting to start a new language or polish up on previous skills. Students who attend 70% or more of the classes will receive a Certificate of Attendance, after the course has finished. Our next language courses will take place in Semester 1 from Monday 7 October to Friday 13 December 2024 and bookings have now closed. If you were successful is booking a place on a course, you will have received an email from us which confirms your booking and this is in addition to the receipt from the Online Store. We will send you another email by Friday 4th October with your course timetable. If you are no longer able to attend your course and wish to cancel a booking, please email [email protected] There will be further opportunities later in the academic year to book a Language Opportunity course. We will be running languages courses again in Semester 2 and details will be announced in January 2025. We also offer both Easter and Summer intensive courses.
