DescriptionJoin us for a two-day in-person course, at LifeLab (Southampton General Hospital), to learn all about how to deliver the NxtGen Researcher Programme. The programme is a community researcher programme, set to train people in research skills so that they can design and conduct their own research and advocate for the changes they want to see in their communities. The NxtGen Researcher Programme has been running since 2023 and has been delivered by trained professionals from Bradford to Norway. If you are interested in running community-led research programmes in your area, this is the course for you; with digital and physical copies of all resources included, as well as access to our year-round online support community and webinars. Built on co‑production principles, it addresses the challenges of involving communities in collaborative research and blends democratic‑deliberative practice with Community Participatory Action Research so participants shape every stage. The programme is adaptable, transparent and designed to amplify seldom‑heard voices, enabling communities to influence services, policies and community change. The NxtGen Train the Trainer course is an in-person, two-day course that covers all aspects of delivering the NxtGen Researcher Programme, hosted at LifeLab (Southampton General Hospital). Each day comprises training on programme delivery, presenting our past experiences, as well as time to reflect and discuss how the programme may work in yours and others’ settings.
